Yarrah’s new dry food bags are made from PFAS-free and FSC-certified paper. PFAS, or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, are chemicals commonly used in packaging for their water and grease-resistant properties. However, these substances can be harmful to the environment and health. By choosing PFAS-free paper, we are taking an important step towards creating less harmful packaging.

The inner layer of the packaging is made of plastic, which is still necessary to properly protect the kibble. What makes this packaging special is that the plastic inner layer can easily be separated from the paper outer layer. This means that both materials can be recycled separately, contributing to a more efficient and environmentally friendly recycling process.
