Vega recipes updated

The quality of our food and therefore your pet’s health is our top priority. This is why we revisit our recipes on a regular basis to make sure they still meet legislative requirements and comply with the (European) FEDIAF guidelines for pet food.

Unfortunately, the vegan vitamin D2 supplement was recently removed from the ‘Feed Additives Registry’, which means we can no longer use it. We are working around the clock to try and get this plant-based vitamin back on the list (since the ingredient is deemed suitable for human consumption) or find a plant-based alternative.

For now, we have no choice but to update our recipes. The D2 vitamin in our pet food has been replaced by an animal-based D3 supplement from sheep’s fat. As a result of this update, our wet food and kibble products in the Vega product line are now vegetarian instead of vegan.
