As early as 1995, our founder discovered that some dogs continued to suffer from various issues, such as fatigue, a dull coat, or itching, even when eating organic food. It was soon found that these dogs did not react well to animal proteins, and after switching to plant-based dog food, the complaints disappeared.

Many people still believe that dogs are true carnivores, but that’s not entirely true. A dog’s digestive system can process both meat and plant-based food well. Most adult dogs can therefore enjoy vegetarian or vegan food without any problems. For puppies, it is important to note that they need extra protein and calories to grow up healthy.
