New and improved recipes for our organic kibbles!

We have made some changes to several of our organic cat and dog kibbles. The most important changes concern our Organic Grain-free kibbles for cats and our Organic Vegetarian Grain-free kibbles for dogs. We will explain below which improvements we have made and whether or not you will have to make any changes for your pets.

We have improved the recipes with updated mixtures of vegetable ingredients, optimised the levels of essential vitamins and several other nutrients. Due to the new balanced recipes, you will notice several (minor) changes in the declared amounts of protein, fat, fibre, and energy content.

In some cases, we have also slightly adjusted the daily amounts of our kibble that we recommend on the back of the bags. Please check whether the amount of kibbles you provide still applies. Keep in mind these recommended daily amounts are guidelines only. You can adjust the amounts you feed to your cat or dog to your own preference.

As mentioned before, the most important changes are made to our Organic Grain-free kibbles for cats and our Organic Vegetarian Grain-free kibbles for dogs. These products will change to wheat-free recipes, which is clearly indicated on the front of the bags.

To ensure your cats and dogs receive the best possible food from us, we have replaced the organic pea protein with organic rice protein, which contains higher levels of specific essential amino acids than organic pea protein. We have opted for organic rice protein as rice is well digested by almost all dogs and allergic reactions or intolerances are extremely rare. That is also why we use organic rice as the basis for our organic kibbles for Sensitive dogs.

Not everyone may know that rice is also a grain product. We therefore need to declare that these 2 products are now based on “wheat-free recipes, rather than “grain-free recipes” that we previously indicated on our bags.

Our Organic Wheat-free kibbles for cats and our Organic Vegetarian Wheat-free kibbles for dogs remain free from gluten-containing wheats and other grains. (Organic) rice is naturally gluten-free. Our organic wet food for cats and dogs (cans as well as tubs) have not been changed and are based on the same grain-free recipes as always. Our organic Grain-free kibbles for dogs also remain completely grain-free, which means no organic rice either.
